Why carriers struggle to hire CDL drivers
Job boards bring volume, not fit. Recruiters spend hours calling applicants who live too far from the terminal, don't have the right endorsement, or want home time the seat can't offer. Meanwhile the truck sits, earning nothing.
We flip the process: we start with your requirements and only send drivers whose license class, experience, endorsements, equipment and home-time expectations already match the seat.
What to include in your hiring request
- Equipment and whether the truck is assigned
- Route type: OTR, regional, local or dedicated, and typical lanes
- Pay structure: per mile, percentage, hourly or weekly
- Home time and schedule
- Minimum experience and required endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, TWIC)
- Benefits, sign-on bonus and anything that makes your seat stand out
Your compliance steps as the employer
We pre-screen profiles, but the hiring carrier completes the FMCSA requirements: a driver qualification file, motor vehicle record review, a pre-employment drug test with a negative result, a Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse query, previous-employer safety history inquiries, and a road test or equivalent.
