Types of Class A jobs we match
- OTR: long-haul, typically 2–4 weeks out, the most miles each week
- Regional: runs inside a region like the Southeast or Midwest, home most weekends
- Local and day-cab: home daily, often pickup-and-delivery or port work
- Dedicated: the same customer or lanes every week
- Team: two drivers sharing a truck for expedited freight
- Specialized: flatbed, step deck, tanker or Hazmat for drivers with the right experience and endorsements
What carriers look for in a Class A driver
Every carrier sets its own requirements, but most will ask for a valid Class A CDL, a current DOT medical card, an acceptable motor vehicle record, and a minimum amount of verifiable experience. As the employer, the carrier will also run a pre-employment drug test and a FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse query before you drive.
Endorsements raise your options: Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) open up higher-paying freight, Doubles/Triples (T) qualify you for LTL linehaul, and a TWIC card is needed for many port jobs.
How our matching works
Fill in the profile below with your license, experience, endorsements, preferred route type, equipment and home time. Our team reviews it and shares it with carriers hiring for that kind of seat. When a carrier is interested, you hear from them or from us — and you decide whether to move forward.
If you own your truck and want to drive under another company's authority, see our MC leasing program instead.
